We give it to our dogs for breakfast, and then give them fresh steak we make for dinner. They like Wellness alot; it’s natural and good for their teeth and also doesn’t contain all the nasty preservatives most commercial dog foods do.
It’s not a bad food and some of their canned blends in the white-colored cans at least state “grain-free”, etc., but if you check out http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com it rates all the foods and does an in-depth analysis as to why the foods are healthy or bad choices… Grains, corn, wheat gluten, soy are all fillers and of no nutritional value to our dogs and may even cause some skin problems… The 5 and 6-star rated foods tend to be the best in the marketplace and healthier for our dogs.
Yes Wellness food is an excellent food. I feed it to all my dogs. It’s a top seller at the pet store i work at. Prior to feeding Wellness one of my dogs was having some kind of skin allergy. I spent $1,000 at the vet trying to diagnose her. I then switched her food to Wellness Fish and Sweet potato and her allergy problem went away. This happened almost a year ago and she hasn’t had any skin problems since she’s been fed Wellness.
Wellness white fish and sweet potato seems to be great for my female. We had her on Canidae for a while and she seemed to release an odor through her skin. Once we switched to Wellness, the odor disappeared. Our other dogs are fine on Canidae, no odor…
